- Help on the items in the DECK menu.
-
- * Shuffle
- * Cut
- * Face Up/Down
- * Deal Top/Right/Left
- * Fresh
-
- SHUFFLE: When you chooose this the
- deck will be riffled three times.
- If you are starting with a fresh deck
- you may want to shuffle it several
- times to mix the cards up good. If
- cards are laid out they will be
- gathered up into the deck before the
- shuffle. The order of the deck is
- maintained between sessions. When
- a layout file is opened the deck
- order changes to the way it was
- when the file was saved.
-
- CUT: This command will cut the deck
- once in the approximate center,
- placing the bottom half on top. Like
- the shuffle, laid cards will be
- gathered up.
-
- FACE UP/DOWN: This command toggles
- between having the cards dealt face up
- or face down. Cards already laid can
- be turned over. Just left-click on
- them with the toggle set to face down,
- or vice versa if they are face down
- and you want to turn them up. You can
- use the middle mouse button, if you
- have one, to set this toggle. You can
- check the status of the toggle by
- seeing if UP or DN appears beside the
- word FACE in the menu. You can set
- either up or down as the default
- setting by choosing SAVE in the
- OPTIONS sub-menu when you have it set
- the way you want it.
- (See OPTIONS help for more)
-
- DEAL TOP/RIGHT/LEFT: This is a three
- way toggle between having the cards
- dealt on top of the deck, to the right
- of the deck or to the left of the
- deck. When the cards are dealt to the
- top it is easy to deal and then move
- the card with one click and drag
- motion. Dealing to one side or another
- is a easy way of dealing a lot of
- cards into a pile. Just look at the
- word appearing beside DEAL to see the
- status of this toggle. Like the face
- up/down toggle the default setting can
- be set under SAVE in the OPTIONS
- submenu.
-
- FRESH: Choose this to start with a
- fresh unshuffled deck. When you quit
- the program the order of the deck, as
- well as the placement of it and any
- dealt cards, is saved in a file called
- "DECK.CFG". This file is automatically
- loaded each time you start the
- program. This simulates the way most
- people use a deck of cards; I don't
- know about you but I don't reorder the
- deck after each session. If you do
- want to start fresh every time tho you
- can delete the file "DECK.CFG" before
- you start or choose this command once
- you are in the program.
