  1. Help on the items in the FILE menu.

  3. * Open file
  4. * Save file
  5. * Quit Program

  7.  OPEN FILE: Choose this to open a
  8. previously saved layout. A layout is 
  9. the positions of all the cards you
  10. have dealt and the position of the
  11. deck. Also saved in a layout is the
  12. comment you can access from the SPREAD
  13. submenu. When you open a layout all
  14. the cards are positioned the way they
  15. were when the layout was saved. When
  16. you choose this command a dialog box
  17. comes up with a list of files with the
  18.  '.T' extention. You can change the
  19. wildcard above the file list by
  20. clicking on it and then typing a new
  21. one and then pressing enter. You can
  22. change the path above the wildcard the
  23. same way. You can choose a file with
  24. the mouse or you can click on the top
  25. line and type in the name, including
  26. the path if it's not in the current
  27. subdirectory. When you choose a file
  28. with the mouse it will appear on the 
  29. top line with the full path.  If the 
  30. wildcard is '*.*', subdirectories will
  31. be shown including the '..', which is 
  32. above the current subdirectory. You
  33. can move to these subdirectories by
  34. clicking the cursor on them. You can 
  35. scroll thru the list of files with the
  36. scroll bar or the <Home> and <End>
  37. keys for one file at a time or the
  38. <Pgup> and <Pgdn> keys for the full
  39. length at a time or <Ctrl-Pgup> to go
  40. to the top or <Ctrl-Pgdn> to go the
  41. bottom. The box will hold the first
  42. 172 files matching the wildcard
  43. specification. Once the name of the
  44. file you wish to open is on the top 
  45. line click on OK or press <O> on the 
  46. keyboard. You can cancel by clicking
  47. on CANCEL or pressing <Esc> or
  48. right-clicking the mouse. You can
  49. delete the file on the top line by
  50. choosing <DELETE>. You will be
  51. asked for confirmation to protect
  52. against accidental erasure. You
  53. will only be allowed to open valid
  54. layout files.

  56.  SAVE FILE: To save a layout file use
  57. the same procedures mentioned above.
  58. The way the cards are currently laid
  59. out will be saved as the file
  60. appearing on the top line of the
  61. dialog box. You may want to use the
  62. COMMENT command in the SPREAD sub-menu
  63. to type in a comment, which will be
  64. saved as part of the file, before you
  65. save the layout. You will warned if
  66. you are about to overwrite a file that
  67. already exists and asked for
  68. confirmation. Once you have typed in
  69. the name of the file you want to
  70. create or chosen a file you want to
  71. overwrite from the file list click on
  72. OK or press<O> (not 0). If you do not
  73. supply an extention for your file a
  74. ".T" will be appended. You need a
  75. registered version to save layouts.

  77.  QUIT: Choose this to quit the
  78. program. The way the cards are laid
  79. out at the time you quit is
  80. automatically saved in the file
  81. "Deck.cfg". This file will be
  82. automatically loaded when you next
  83. start the program. You can also quit 
  84. by pressing <Alt-X> or holding down
  85. all three mouse buttons if you have a
  86. three button mouse. The Shareware
  87. version will put up a registration
  88. message; read it and then press a key
  89. or mouse button to exit.
