This disc is mastered in ISO-9660 format with Rock Ridge extensions.
If your system does not support the Rock Ridge extensions you will
have to work with aliased directory and filenames.  Each directory
contains a translation table YMTRANS.TBL which maps the long,
mixed-case filename to the aliased ISO-9660 name.  The directory
YM_UTILS contains sources for two utilities that allow you to either
copy or link from the CD to a writable directory, re-establishing the
original filenames based on the entries in YMTRANS.TBL

Please refer to the file "infonote.txt" which is present in a number of
directories for specific information about the packages.

Note: This file is not in every directory, only those where we felt some
      explaination was required.

To accomodate everything on this disc, we have had to provide some
packages in compressed format.  X (base distribution) and GNU
(including lucid's lemacs) are provided fully expanded.  The
contributed sources in the X distribution are provided in compressed
tar files, as is InterViews 3.1  These files have been compressed
using GNU gzip rather than the standard UNIX(tm) compress program
because it provides a higher compression.  This program is provided
ready to run for DOS & OS2 in gnu/msdos/gzip.exe and
InterViews/contrib/os2/gzip.exe respectively.  It is provided in
source form under /gnu/gzip-1.2.3
