  7. These archive files contain the StorageExpress Central Console and associated
  8.  
  9. software from version 1.30.A.E.

  13. You will need the following files:

  33. These files are self-extracting archives.  The files will extract into
  34.  
  35. subdirectories DISK1, DISK2, DISK3, DISK4, and DISK5 on your hard disk.

  39. To download the files, you will need 10 Megabytes of hard disk space 
  40.  
  41. (5 MB to download and 5 MB to perform the extraction).  
  42.  
  43. You can delete the archive files (SED1.EXE, etc.) after they have been 
  44.  
  45. expanded.

  49. After expanding the files, you can install Central Console from these 
  50.  
  51. subdirectories (DISK1, DISK2, DISK3, DISK4, DISK5), or you can choose to
  52.  
  53. create 5 diskettes and then install from those diskettes.

  57. To install Central Console from your Hard Drive:
  58.  
  59. 1.  Run Microsoft Windows 3.1.  Choose Run from the File menu.
  60.  
  61. 2.  In the command box, type   DISK1\SETUP.EXE
  62.  
  63. 3.  Choose OK to begin.

  67. To create diskettes:
  68.  
  69. 1.  Insert a High Density 3.5 or 5.25 diskette into your drive 
  70.  
  71. 2.  Copy the contents of the DISK1 directory onto the diskette.  
  72.  
  73.     Do the same for the other subdirectories DISK2, DISK3, DISK4, DISK5.
  74.  
  75. 3.  Label these diskettes "Intel StorageExpress Central Console Ver 1.30.A.E".  
  76.  
  77.     Add the disk numbers to the labels (i.e., "Disk 1").

  81.     You can now delete the archive files and the DISK subdirectories off of 
  82.  
  83.     your hard drive.

  87. To install Central Console from the diskettes you created:

  89.     Insert disk 1 into your drive and run SETUP.EXE from it.

  93. When you run Central Console version 1.30.A.E and connect to a StorageExpress
  94.  
  95. running an earlier software version, a "Version Difference Detected" dialog
  96.  
  97. will pop up.  You MUST update the StorageExpress in order to use it with 
  98.  
  99. this version.

  107. Release notes are now kept in the file RELNOTES.HLP.

  109. The file uses Windows' online help engine, WINHELP.EXE

  111. (in the Windows directory) to display the release notes.

  117. Installing Central Console will automatically install

  119. RELNOTES for you, creating a Release Notes icon in the 
  120.  
  121. Central Console program group.

  125. If you'd rather read the release notes before installing

  127. the software, do the following:

  131.   1) Copy RELNOTES.HLP from disk 1 of the Central Console disks
  132.  
  133.      to a directory on your workstation's hard disk.

  135.      (For example, C:\CENTRAL)

  139.   2) Start Windows.

  143.   3) From the Windows Program Manager, select File Run.
