Transcription: This workshop contains two subjects, a typical portrait shot near Fisherman's Wharf and a close-up shot in the San Francisco Presidio. Notice how the distance to the subject affects the depth of field. Select from the seven aperture settings to see how the changing depth of field alters the appearance of these two scenes by changing the area of the scene in focus. The diagram shows the distance to the subject and the depth of field for the currently selected f-stop. Note that in order to maintain a correct exposure for this sequence of images, we adjust the shutter speed for each f-stop.
