  2.  Especially in war, fuel is a very valuable commodity.
  3.  Without it forces grind to a halt and become very
  4.  vulnerable. Our parachute forces have captured one of
  5.  a small group of occupied islands next to the enemy’s
  6.  main oilfield.

  8.  Your first priority is to destroy all four Oil Tankers
  9.  in the enemy convoy arriving at the oilfield. This 
  10.  convoy will be protected by both air support from a
  11.  neighbouring island and gun boats in close formation.

  13.  I know this is going to sound a bit of a tall order, and
  14.  believe me if there was any other way you know I’d do it,
  15.  but you see we’re in a bit of a pickle here.

  17.  You must destroy three enemy Gun Boats patrolling
  18.  these waters, otherwise my forces are very much tied to
  19.  this island. Also, enemy Cargo Planes are now being used
  20.  to transport oil since their tankers were destroyed. 
  21.  There are four of them, heading south from the enemy
  22.  island, destroy them before they fly out of your range.

  24.  In addition, observation units have noticed well
  25.  co-ordinated and substantial enemy air support. This
  26.  must be disrupted by destroying the Control Terminal
  27.  on the enemy island.

  29.  Do you know who that was on the phone? Top brass that’s
  30.  who. Sir has been telling me how you played a major part
  31.  in severing the enemy’s main fuel supply and capturing an
  32.  oilfield. Of course you realise the implications of this,
  33.  aside from the fact that I can now take my wife out in
  34.  the car for the first time since petrol rationing started.
  35.  Well our boys will be starting the big desert push soon
  36.  and I’m sending you out as part of the vanguard to pave
  37.  the way for them.

  39.  Apart from being made an honorary member of his club, the
  40.  Colonel-in-Chief of the parachute regiment wishes to
  41.  award you with the Distinguished Flying Medal ( D.F.M. ).

  43.  I don’t need to tell you that they don’t hand those out
