- USING THE BOOKMARK AND NOTEPAD FEATURE
-
- To activate the BOOKMARK and NOTEPAD features, press the
- <F4> MARK key. Scroll down to the option of your choice
- using the <ARROWS KEYS>and press <ENTER>, or press the
- number of your selection as it appears on the menu using the
- number keys. There are three options:
-
- 1) Set/Clear Mark
- Go to the place (screen and line) in the text where you want
- to place your bookmark and press <F4>. Press <F4> again,
- <ENTER> or <1>. You will automatically return to the text,
- and a bookmark will be set. You'll notice that <F4>MARK at
- the bottom of the screen will illuminate. It will remain
- illuminated as long as you are on the page of that bookmark.
- To clear the bookmark, follow the same steps you took to
- set it. Press <F4> again from within the text, then press
- <F4>, <ENTER> or <1>. If you've set more than one bookmark,
- <F4>BOOKMARK at the bottom shows a list of all previous
- bookmarks, the works that they appear in, the corresponding
- screen number of the bookmark, and whether or not you have
- made any notes. Scroll down to a bookmark using the
- <ARROW KEYS>, and press <ENTER> to go to the text.
-
- 2) Edit/Browse list
- To browse through your list of bookmarks, choose this
- selection. You can move down to that bookmark, and press
- <E> instead of <ENTER>. To clear one bookmark, highlight
- it and press <C>. To delete all previous bookmarks in the
- bookmark menu, press <F3>. Once you have deleted all
- previous bookmarks, there is no way to recover them, so be
- certain this is what you want.
-
- 3) Edit/Print Note
- Choose this feature to print notes by pressing <F4>. It will
- print all 10 lines of the bookmark that is on screen at that
- time. Since the notes are already stored on your hard disk
- in a text file, you can only print directly to your printer,
- not to file.
