- HOW TO USE THE KEYBOARD
- <F1> Help! If you're not sure what to do, pressing <F1> will
- give you whatever help is available for the screen you are
- on. Press <ESCAPE> to exit the help screen.
-
- <F2> Hypertext (see Hypertext instructions)
-
- <F3> Save/print text (see printing/saving text instructions)
-
- <F4> Bookmark (see bookmark instructions)
-
- <F5> Any time the phrase <F5> = Begin Search appears at
- the bottom of the screen, pressing <F5> will find and
- display the titles which match your search criteria.
-
- <F6> Split screen/reader's screen. Compare any two titles
- and see them side by side on a split screen by selecting two
- titles from the TITLES Screen with the <SPACE BAR> and
- pressing <F6> or conveniently read a single text. (more in
- the Split Screen instructions.)

- <F7> <Sort> Switch back and forth between the AUTHORS Screen
- and the TITLES Screen with the <F7> key.
-
- <Line#s> Press <F7> from within a text and paragraph or line
- numbers will appear.
-
- <Options> <F7> gives you the choice for display or don't display
- of Line#s/paragraph #s, or Auxiliary Text.
-
- <F8> From either the TITLES or AUTHORS Screen or from any
- text, you may see a summary or description of the work you
- are in or which is highlighted by pressing <F8>.
-
- <F9> Any time you see <F9 Illus> at the bottom of any text
- screen, pressing <F9> will show the illustration referred to
- in the text.
-
- <F10> Return to Main Menu from any Text Screen.
-
- <ARROW KEYS> Move highlight bar, or scroll through text.
-
- <ESCAPE> Back up. To move back one step or one screen, press
- <ESCAPE>.
-
- <HOME>, <END> Move to beginning or end of a list or work.
-
- <PgUp>, <PgDn> Move up or down one screen, or to top or
- bottom of a column of information.
-
- <S> See a summary of your Search Criteria selections,
- including the Authors, Words, and any other criteria.
-
- <SPACE BAR> Mark/unmark selections.
-
- <N> <P> Move to the next page of a work or the next
- illustration in the illustration index by pressing <N> and
- to the previous page by pressing <P>.
-
- <+> <-> The <+> <-> keys can be used to scroll through the
- text of any work, and also to go to the next or previous
- occurrence of a word or phrase you have searched for.
- In some products, the <+> <-> keys will expand the Table of
- Contents Titles showing detailed sections.
