  80. TMG MOVES TO FULL-TIME NPTN

  82.    On October 28th, I tendered my resignation from Case Western 
  83. Reserve University, effective November 13th.  On November 16th 
  84. I'll start work as the full-time president of NPTN in our new 
  85. offices.
  86.  
  87.    To put it in a nutshell, folks, I had to make a choice.  Either 
  88. enjoy the luxury of a consistent paycheck from now until retire-
  89. ment--and kill NPTN; or follow the dream and take my chances.  I 
  90. chose the latter.  (What's life without some risks, huh?)
  91.  
  92.    So, as of November 16th we're "out there."  (And I gotta tell 
  93. you... fund-raising takes on a whole new dimention when your 
  94. mortgage depends on it.)
  95.  
  96.    Yes, it's a risky move; but if I didn't think it would work; if 
  97. I didn't think we were going to make it; I wouldn't have done it.  
  98. If we all hang-in there and keep on working, the pieces WILL fall 
  99. into place.  We are so very close.

  102. NPTN MOVES TO NEW OFFICES
  103.  
  104.    Along with this job change, NPTN will be moving its physical 
  105. location from CWRU to NPTN TOWERS our new high-rise, techno-
  106. industrial complex in Moreland Hills, Ohio.  (Actually, we've got 
  107. some windowless space in the basement of an office building--but, 
  108. what the heck, you can't tell that on a computer, right?)
  109.  
  110.    NPTN TOWERS will be located in Moreland Hills, Ohio (an eastern 
  111. suburb of Cleveland) where our new physical address will be:

  117.    (If you're in the area, it's at the corner of Chagrin and SOM

  120.    The telephone numbers are not known yet, as we don't have the 
  121. phones installed.  The old mailing address (Box 1987, Cleveland, 
  122. Ohio 44106) will remain valid, at least for the moment.

  124.    Once the dust settles, my primary e.mail address will be 
  125. shifting to: tmg@nptn.org.  aa001@cleveland.freenet.edu will still 
  126. be good, however, but I will be automatically forwarding all mail 
  127. from that account to nptn.org

  129.    As soon as we get the new phone numbers, etc. I'll get them out 
  130. to you.

  133. LISTSERV ON HOLD

  135.    The plans for the listserv that I mentioned in my last "All 
  136. Hands" message are on hold for the time being.  It seems that our 
  137. little Sun IPC may not be able to handle the volume of traffic 
  138. that we are anticipating.  Rather than start something and then 
  139. have to break it off, we've decided to hold until the technical 
  140. problems can be solved.

  143. AND SPEAKING OF THE SUN...
  144.  
  145.    The Sun computer (nptn.org) is now physically located at the 
  146. NPTN Techno-Industrial Complex.  However, this Friday from 7:15 to 
  147. about midnight the power company will be doing some work on the 
  148. lines and it will be down during that period.

  152. moving period for NPTN.
