  21.     I have no difficulty with this at all. Religion at its base is about 
  22. a thing called faith. If you wish to understand religion you must understand 
  23. faith.

  25.     Faith is the unquestioning acceptance of beliefs. This is important,
  26. if you question the beliefs, then you do not have faith. Ask any priest,
  27. minister, mullah, rabbi, shaman, witch doctor you come across. If you wish
  28. to become a "__________" (fill in the blank), then you must accept fully 
  29. the "_________" (fill in the blank) of "__________" (fill in the blank). 
  30. After this acceptance you will be "saved", "accepted into Vallhalla", be 
  31. able to "join your ancestors in piece" or what ever else makes you feel 
  32. comfortable with the after life.

  34.     In Science everything is fair game for questioning. It is expected
  35. that everything will be questioned. Therefore, people in science must have
  36. a hard time being faithfull. In order for them to succeed, they must wall
  37. off an entire area of understanding, because then they would have to begin
  38. questioning it.

  40.     So here is the kicker, if you begin questioning it "religion" then 
  41. you are not of the faithfull, and if you are not of the faithfull then you 
  42. do not truely understand it, therefore there is no way that you can question 
  43. it properly.

  45.     Neat. I have often though of starting my own religion, but my
  46. scientific scruples would not allow me. Oh well.
