  10. My Mercator projection goes 'up' to only 84 degrees, ~the northern
  11. tip of the classically huge Greenland. I'd like to know three things.
  12. 1) For a given area, what is its apparent increase in size for a 
  13. given latitude? I.e., what is the rate of increase the closer you
  14. get a pole (and infinity)? 2) Is there a program out there for showing
  15. the Mercator projection with the Earth shifting around an axis? I'd like
  16. a larger Fiji. 3) Are there any commerical Mercator projections which
  17. put the Equator in the middle and which get closer than five degrees
  18. to both poles?
