- I have a couple of SUN monitors that suffer from the exact
- same kind of problem. When they are turned on, you can hear a high
- pitched oscillation. Their is no picture, and when you turn the monitor off
- the oscillation slows down as the power leaves the monitor.
-
- I'm pretty sure the sound is coming from the high voltage transformer.
-
- Could anybody help me diagnose this problem? It sounds like this
- is a common occurrence among older SUN monitors (circa 1987).
-
- I am posting this from a remote terminal so please E-mail responses
- to:

- Thanks in advance
