  20. Actually, democratic government in a modern sense is fairly young in 
  21. Switzerland. Ownership and in particular carrying of handguns is regulated
  22. in all Kantons (~states), in general carrying of "concealable" weapons
  23. is not allowed without a license. It is however fairly easy to purchase 
  24. rifles.
