- I have to agree with the "runner beware" statement made by Greg below.
- The hunter should be procecuted for manslaughter and loose his right
- to ever own a gun again.
-
- I Once live on the edge of a heavily wooded area that had 3 deer
- seasons (gun, bow, and ancient weapons). Anyway I took to wearing a
- small cow bell. Besides letting the hunter(s) know I wasn't something to
- be shot at, it scared off lots of game.

- Worse than shocking...it's criminal! I have to wonder about the
- wisdom of putting locked & loaded weapons in the hands of hunters who
- would fire first and check the identity of their target second.

- I run on a game preserve which has lots of deer and have always
- considered it a pretty safe place to run...until last week a "poacher"
- bagged two deer.
- I guess it boils down to: When running in a wooded, kill-zone, runner
- beware! It's one thing to wear all sorts of fluorescent stripes for
- motorists' high-beams, and quite anohther to wear bold, bright colors
- to ward off hunters who are looking only for movement.
