  34.     One of our club members here had one and he had a lot of 
  35. trouble with it. He flew it 4 or 5 times that I know of and it crashed
  36. every time. I think the problem was excess weight. The plane seemed to
  37. tip stall and roll on its back whenever it got too slow (which was in
  38. fact not slow at all!) It was powered by an ASP 60 and had air
  39. operated retracts. I looked pretty good, but didn't fly well at all.
  40. By the way, this guy is a very good pilot, but he may build heavy.

  42.     If I were you, I might think about building the plane without
  43. retracts to save weight. All of the War Bird models are very sensitive
  44. to excess weight, some more than others. I had a Top Flight Corsair
  45. that would snap roll in the blink of an eye if you let it get too
  46. slow. It also had retracts and 16 oz of lead in the nose to make the
  47. CG come out right.

  49.     I have used the Goldberg retracts, and I don't really 
  50. like them. I have the Dave Brown retraces in my GP Mustang and they
  51. seem to work better.
