- A friend of mine bought a bunch of filters from different makers a few years
- ago. AT THAT TIME, there was NO anti drain-back valve in a FRAM. In fact,
- they look distinctly cheaply made. It might not be a bad idea to cut open
- an old one (Yes, messy, but informative) and let us know. From what he found,
- the OEM filters were, as a rule, better constructed and looked to have better
- elements.

- I really have a problem understanding why someone would use a filter that
- costs $2.50 and wonder about it, when you can buy the manufacturer's for
- $4.00 - $5.00???
