  12. Background:  1981 Buick Regal  3.8L 231 -- all origninal stock.

  14. Problem:  There is a major lag in acceleration occurring when 1)
  15. starting from a complete stop and 2) when putting the pedal down
  16. too fast or too much.  This only just started to happen.  Before
  17. I was enjoying good response and power.  It's been stalling
  18. lately too.  I give it a good 5-10 minutes to warm up.  I have a 
  19. feeling its my carbureator (2bbl Varijet).  Perhaps it just needs
  20. adjusting to the cold.  Before the weather changed the car ran
  21. like new (despite the tapping).  The tranny is new (T350) so 
  22. highly doubt that is the problem.
