- Hello,
-
- I've got an '89 Honda Civic LX which this weekend started doing
- something odd - when starting it, it'll catch, run for a second or so
- and then immediately die. It doesn't chug, chug, chug, and then die,
- it just dies, sort of like if I were spraying Starting fluid in there
- - as soon as it burns the bit you sprayed in there, and it isn't
- getting gas or whatever, it just dies.
-
- Anyway, it hasn't been doing it consistently although each time it's
- happened, it's been sitting for sometime (overnight for instance).
- Otherwise it seems fine - I drove back from Dallas to Austin Sunday
- night with no problems.
-
- Any ideas?
-
- If no ideas, any ideas on how to handle this with the dealer or other
- mechanic? Should I wait until it happens every morning before taking
- it in?
-
- Thanks,
- Brendan
