- Hi I'm in Utah and I think I can help you. I put a chevy 350 and 4spd
- transmission into a 62 international scout. There are two types of chevy 4
- spds. before 69'(10 inches long) and 69' to date (12 and a half inches long)
- the only difference between the two is the diameter of the hole in the
- bellhousing. I understand that 5 spds work the same. So all you need is the
- correct bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, and starter(which with chevy are pretty
- much all the same) to go with whatever tranny you want. the bellhousing to
- engine bolt pattern has been the same on chevy small blocks and vortex 6's for
- 40 years so dont worry about that. I hope that this helped a little.
