- Do the spec numbers for manual transmission gear oil work the
- same as for engine oil -- in particular, if a gear is meets GL-5, does
- it also necessarily meet GL-4 as well? (like with engine oil SG meets SF and
- so on...). None of the auto parts stores around here seem to carry GL-4 oils,
- and the salespeople tended to be generally unsure of the answer to this
- question, but thought that GL-4 and GL-5 might be different (My nissan,
- like most nissans, needs GL-4).
