- Hello,
- my car is an '80 Subaru 1600.
- it runs great except one problem:
- the spark plugs will get dirty (carbon deposits)
- after a couple of months driving.
- so I have to clean them from time to time,
- otherwise it will misfire and the engine
- will loss power.
- I checked the manual, and it says the dirt is
- caused by over-rich fuel mixture. so I took
- the car to the dealer to have the fuel/air
- adjusted.(I can't do this myself.:-{)
- but the dealer said to me that the car is
- normal, and the dirt is because the carburetor is
- too old, and the gasket seals are losen.
- and the dealer suggested me to leave this alone.
-
- is the dealer's suggestion right?
-
- Thanks in advance!
