- I presume that he did at one point have oil pressure. Were there any
- signs of leaks? How far had he driven? "As quickly as he could", is
- not a good way to check your oil after driving. You have to let the
- oil drain back into the pan. Has he checked it recently to see if he
- in fact over filled it? A bad grounding strap or a short has been
- known to put more than one ghost in VW dashboards.

- No, don't give the dealership mechanics a chance to ruin something else.
- If the problem is not electrical, and the car was run without oil (and
- it is the fault of whoever prepped it), Demand nothing less than a new
- car. Let them keep it as a demo.

- Sorry... Keep in mind that vw's tend to come off the line with a lot of
- bugs...they're great cars though.
