- I just recieved the extreme displeasure of discovering that
- some a**hole decided to try his/her baseball bat on the
- windshield of my '71 Cutlass.
- Happily, I have a extra windshield (used) for the car, and now I
- just need to install it. What I need to know is wheater I should
- use the "urethane" goo that comes in a caulk-type tube or if
- I should use the tar-like strip to mount the windshield.
- I've replaced the winshields in '60s Mopars, but they use a
- gasket for mounting. I'm in the dark on mine. My glass seems to
- be mounted in the tar-like stuff. I'm not concerned with what
- was origenally there, but rather which is considered to give a
- better seal.

- Thanks,
