- GM from about the time I was born. It has a good track record.

- Any of a wide variety of things could have gone wrong with it. It it
- is a limited slip unit, they like to be maintained a bit. If it ran
- out of oil, it might seize.

- Replacement parts include any passenger car RWD GM 10 bolt setup
- produced from the mid sixties to 1981, and all 1500 series trucks
- since then. ( Ignoring spline count issues and those odd early 70's
- Olds 10/12 setups. )
