  32. actually..it's a debate which i learned first..i learned to shift a stick
  33. long before i ever touched an auto..i shifted for my mother..yeah..from
  34. the right seat(that's the passanger seat for ye ol' non USeans readin'!)
  35. .but the first car i ever "drove"(as in..manuvered on a public road) was
  36. indeed an auto...but..i already knew the idosychrasis(sp) of the manual
  37. that i drove after i'd shifted it for a couple years...even thogh i was
  38. in the wrong seat..:-)  you decide which i learned to drive in...i don't
  39. care which you want to claim i learned in..it is still easier to make 
  40. the manual-auto conversion than vice versa...
