- the article i read on the new porsche system said that for a true
- perfomance driver, it sucked! not that it did not do what Porsche
- designed it to do, but unfortunately, that was an attempt at keeping
- themselves from being sued by idiots who would not learn to drive the
- rear engined monsters before(or during or after) purchasing one, and
- apparently(the article goes) someone sued, and won, that because the
- porsche did something different than what is considered "normal"
- that the car was at fault, and not the peckerhead at the wheel who
- didnt' bother to learn how his car was SUPPOSED to be driven and
- how it handled BEFORE wrapping it around a tree...so..Porsche designed
- into their new AWD..whatever the call it.system so that it would
- reduce the understeer(is that right??..i can't ever keep the two
- straight...)..well..at any rate..the mag said that,even though it
- cannot be turned off, that the system is incompatable with the
- braking system so that the differentials release completely upon
- braking..so..they took it out, tossed it into the turns like a
- normal porsche, only they lightly touched the brakes, to turn off
- the differentials, and they said it drove like a REAL 911 improved..
- so..they didn't agree with the all wheel drive setup for race tracking
- it..but i dunno about tracktion, etc....depends on what YOU want with
- it, i suppose....
- good luck!(sorry to be biased and not say anything about the audi..but
- i know virtually nothing, except i can't see why more of them aren't on
- the road!..they have the power, the all wheel drive..good looks..i dunno..
- seems they'd be real popular in places like CO..)
