  49. Ah - what a crock.  I bet you had the modem setting where it couldn't
  50. get decent air flow.  I just checked the maximum use I have had on my
  51. modem was 98 Megabytes in one day with a total of 19 hours uucp
  52. connection.  (and it was for logins the most of the remaining 5 hours).

  54. I agree with the heat problems, but you need to investigate the
  55. equipment to make sure it is not airflow problems.

  57. I live in a city that is recorded to be one of the hotter cities in the
  58. US (Orlando,FL).  My wife is a native Floridian who HATES
  59. air-conditioning.  The last time it was on was about 2 years ago during
  60. an early May heat wave with 95-98 degree days for a week or two.

  62. I don't have a problem, and the equipment doesn't - and I make sure I
  63. have adequate airflow - even though ambient is in the 80-90 degree
  64. range for 7-8 months out of the year.
