- Numerous people have either posted or emailed me suggesting that
- self-defrosting freezers are hard on food or reduce the shelf life.
- Thanks! So, if we decide to go to a regular (non-self-defrosting)
- model, any thoughts on the relative advantages/disadvantages of a chest
- freezer versus an upright model? We live in central Oklahoma, home of
- the 70 degree dewpoint in summer, and the freezer will be housed in our
- garage.
