- A few years ago, I managed to get a price quote on a new Britannica
- over the phone, after making it extremely clear to the salesman that
- I would not under any conditions consent to have anyone come to my
- home unless they told me their prices first.
-
- My recollection was that the least expensive (non-leather-bound) edi-
- tion cost something like $1300. As I said, this was a few years ago,
- and the low-end price may well be different now.
-
- I bought a used 1980 Britannica set from a coworker several years ago
- for $400, and it has served our purposes quite adequately.
