  26.      On Tuesday, November 24th, Cuba will be addressing the General
  27. Assembly of the United Nations about the continued U.S. embargo
  28. against the people of Cuba.
  29.  
  30.      The passage of the Torricelli Bill has generated an
  31. international outcry against U.S. intervention in the internal
  32. affairs of other nations. Here in the U.S. we need to make a clear
  33. statement in opposition to the starvation diplomacy embodied in the
  34. "Cuban Democracy" Act which outgoing President Bush signed into
  35. law. We also need to let the incoming Clinton-Gore administration
  36. know that we will continue and increase our efforts in support of
  37. the inalienable right of the Cuban people to self-determination,
  38. national sovereignty and to determine their own destiny.
