  16. To the best of my knowledge, David Nichols is correct in saying that Euro-
  17. Americans have been *sentenced* to death for the killing of African-Americans
  18. and members of other minorities.  I think that the *fact* of the matter is
  19. that no such sentence has ever been *carried out*; no Euro-American has been
  20. executed for slaying a non-Euro-American.
