-
- Hmmm.
-
- We have, in fact, developed quite a few commercial products and substantial
- applications using OLIT and the Xt intrinsics. We've been doing this work
- for years now. This was not a shotgun wedding either -- at any point
- applications have been free to consider using Xview instead of OLIT. I have
- no qualms whatsoever about recommending programming with an Xt-intrinsics
- based toolkit to anyone that is developing a commercial product or any other
- substantial application.
-
- We are also using OLIT as a cross-platform toolkit. We have Sun, HP and
- Intel iX86 based applications all done on OLIT.
-
- Clearly this is a matter of personal opinion, particularly when you talk about
- subjective attributes like "ease of programming". I don't want to start a
- debate, just point out to anyone who might be listening that my experience and
- opinon happens to differ from Frank's.
