- Hi, Folks:
- I've just installed the GUI development kit from Esix on my machine.
- I have a problem which I'm hoping somebody has seen before, and would send
- me the solution.
- I have a Tseng Labs ET-4000 video card and a comparable monitor.
- If I run the diagnostics supplied w/the video card (under MS-DOS) the
- sysem runs fine, even in 256 color 1024x768 mode.
- Under Esix, using xconfig to define my hardware, this will not work.
- The only acceptable mode is 16 color 640x480. If I define any higher
- configuration, the video is just blown away. (The system is cycling
- along just fine, but I have to log in through the serial port and
- shut the system down just to recover the console.)
- I did not even load up the OpenLook disks, so this is just the
- motif distribution.
- Of course, I would like to use my system to its fullest. Does
- anybody out there have a solution? Perhaps a reasonable opinion?
- Thanks in advance!
- Guy
