  13.     I am trying get Wordperfect 5.0 for Unix V.3.2 up and running under
  14. X on a V.4 box. Using truss, the reason it fails is because it cannot find a
  15. pty/tty pair to open. Linking some to /dev/pts/whatever sort of works, in
  16. that the X screen will appear and then the program will get an error on
  17. writing to one of the faked ptys and die. Apparently (if you look at the
  18. xterm code) various V.3 intel Unices had the old style ptys in addition to
  19. the more modern /dev/ptmx clone device style of things. Does anybody have
  20. any source for drivers like this that I could fit to the kernel?
