- I am trying get Wordperfect 5.0 for Unix V.3.2 up and running under
- X on a V.4 box. Using truss, the reason it fails is because it cannot find a
- pty/tty pair to open. Linking some to /dev/pts/whatever sort of works, in
- that the X screen will appear and then the program will get an error on
- writing to one of the faked ptys and die. Apparently (if you look at the
- xterm code) various V.3 intel Unices had the old style ptys in addition to
- the more modern /dev/ptmx clone device style of things. Does anybody have
- any source for drivers like this that I could fit to the kernel?
