  19. Well, what's wrong with that? Many people can't tell the difference between
  20. a 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder motor. And I wonder why there are people who
  21. think that UNIX won't be UNIX anymore if it can be used by 'stupid' users?
  22. I mean, hide the ugly details but don't throw them away.

  24. Look at a video recorder. It's a complex thing inside, but you can't see that
  25. on the outside. There's even a cover for the 'difficult' functions so people
  26. aren't frightened by a plethora of buttons and functions. And it doesn't take
  27. an expert to get the thing to do what it is supposed to do. I can't sell a
  28. video recorder which requiers soldering to operate it, people don't buy that,
  29. even if it's more flexible. But we don't throw away the electronics by putting
  30. it in a cover, we just give it a nice cover for people who like that. People
  31. who like electronics are knowledgable enough to open the cover.
