  14. Support for the bell under X has been added to XFree86 using either
  15. Holgers new `keycap' driver or a modified 0.1 pccons driver.

  17. The current status is: it's gone through alpha testing and is ready
  18. for the next beta test.  If you want it early, feel free to beta test
  19. it.  After the beta test it will be in the general release.

  21. I've not been able to track down the cause of the keyboard hanging
  22. overnight.  I've narrowed it down to something invoked by /etc/daily,
  23. but we need more information before we have an idea of the cause.
