  15. I'm contemplating the purchase of a tape drive for my Mac to use with A/UX
  16. and the MacOS.  I have two primary goals:

  18. 1.    Compatibility with other Unix systems.
  19.  
  20. 2. Speed and capacity.
  21.  
  22. I'm most familiar with DC6000 compatible drives, however, I understand that
  23. 4mm DAT and 8mm drives are becoming more popular and hold more data.
  24.  
  25. Keeping goal #1 in mind, would I be better off with a QIC DC6000 drive or
  26. should I look into one of the newer formats?
