- I just read in the Nov. 2 issue of Uniforum's biweekly newsletter that Apple
- has started an A/UX VAR program to encourage 3rd party software developers
- to port their products to A/UX. It states that (among other things) Apple
- is offering a $6000 rebate to developers who buy three Quadras for their
- porting efforts from one of three approved resellers.

- The flavor of the article was that Apple was serious about encouraging
- developers to support the A/UX platform, and apparently has appointed a
- director to see that it happens. The article itself was a half page long,
- about 15% of the total text of the newsletter.
