- We have run across a couple of problems with the 3270 emulation on AIX.
-
- 1. According to the documentation, when you telnet or tn to a system that
- requires a 3270, it will use the $HOME/.3270keys. We have never gotten
- this to work...any ideas?
-
- 2. We are using NCD 17cr X-terminals with VT220 style keyboards. We have
- redefined some of the keys in /etc/map3270 successfully (the pf keys)
- while other keys refuse to cooperate. For example, we define the
- keypad ENTER to be the enter key, and RETURN to be the newline key.
- When we do this the keypad ENTER and RETURN act like a tab key. Any
- ideas here? Here we are using the tn3270 command.
-
- And now the question...is there a public or commercial X version of a 3270
- emulator for AIX?
