  13. I have installed aix 3.2.3 and I wished I hadn't. For those who don't need
  14. it I recommend to stay away. There are seriuos problems with qdaemon and
  15. serial printers and while trying to fix these my friendly IBM representative
  16. made me run the syschk -y command which went and changed a whole bunch of
  17. files. Result? my console went blank for good. I am now trying to restore
  18. back from my 3.2.2 backup tapes but of course the boot does not work.
  19. Flashing 888. I had two image backups one done with 3.2.2 one with 3.2.3
  20. they both do the same thing! I have an IBM 8mm tape drive and all that.
  21. So I would not trust those bootable tapes too much. I am now waiting for
  22. phone call! Good luck.
