- BSD semantics are in force in any directory whose group sticky bit
- (chmod g+s) is on. ATT semantics are in force when the stick bit is
- off. The sticky bit is propogated by mkdir. So if you want BSD
- semantics, turn on the group sticky bit in the directory tree in
- question.
