- Louis Howell <howell(at)GROVER.LLNL.GOV> requested literature
- concerning Eater Rules; Rudy Rucker <rucker(at)SJSUMCS.SJSU.EDU> has
- reported two excellent references. This is a subject for which there
- is an ENORMOUS literature, if one takes into account slight variants
- on the rule.

- I hope to be forgiven for not editing the following, and I hope that
- our pet ASCII eater doesn't mangle it. I won't know until I see the
- echo, and if it is too bad, I will clean it up and retransmit it.

- There is much more, but this is what is sitting in my files right now; the
- Greenberg articles are important for their analysis of the self-sustaining
- nucleus; Winfree has done much experimental work with spirals. The leverage
- provided by these references should carry one quite a way in Citation Index.
