- Well, I wasn't reading this group at the time but I can tell you the
- way a tech normally diagnoses trouble (having been one for 8 years.)

- 2. If there is any possible way it could be the power supply check voltages.
- You don't want to fry anything in step 3.

- 3. Swap components. This of course only works if you have spare components
- or a spare machine. Since most of the new workstations don't have very
- many parts this shouldn't take long.

- A typical parts list is: power supply, motherboard, RAM, vidio card,
- monitor.

- If you are going to do this either have an electronics type person do it
- or learn about safety procedures for Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) and
- electronics safety procedures in general.
