  21. Ah. Ok, now another question... We have one 4/100 CPU board that is
  22. malfunctioning, it claims:

  24.     Parity Error Detection and Interrupt Test
  25.     No Parity Error Detection Interrupt When Expected

  27. when running with the NORM/DIAG switch in the DIAG position. The board also
  28. lacks some ICs that I think may be neccessary for it to function correctly. The
  29. question is if getting those ICs will remove the error reported above. The
  30. ICs missing is the big square IC that is supposed to sit below the SPARC
  31. CPU chip and the two smaller square ICs right besides it (in another 4/100
  32. CPU board one is labelled "Weitek", the other I don't know).

  34. Another thing I'm thinking of doing is installing a Sun 3/200 CPU with 32MB
  35. of RAM (assuming it all is on a single board - I havn't seen it yet) and a
  36. Xy451 in the 4/110 box (since the CPU board is dead anyway).. And then I only
  37. have to repair the broken power supply for that box too... Would that be
  38. possible? And/or do I have to restrap the small strapping on the backside of
  39. VME bus backplane in the 4/110 box?
