- I posted about this several weeks ago, and have received reports of
- similar problems but no solution.
-
- We have a SPARCsystem 370 connected to an Alphatronix optical disk
- jukebox. The system runs as an NFS client and server, NIS slave
- server, and we have AMD 5.3 alpha.
-
- In the past, under 4.1.2, we got seemingly random data fault and
- memory address alignment panics from nfsd and update. We recently
- upgraded to SunOS 4.1.3, and we're discovering that mounting a certain
- optical disk will repeatedly cause the update daemon to data fault. A
- typical error is shown below.
-
- We've tried talking to both Alphatronix and Sun, but are still
- awaiting responses. Does anybody else have similar problems, or have
- any suggestions? Also, has anybody else used Alphatronix products?
-
- Thanks muchly,
- Howard
