- While something X based may be good for looking at your net at a particular
- moment, you may want something that can collect stats over a longer time.
- Take a look at NNstat; it runs on Suns, DECstations, and DEC VAXen
- running Ultrix. You can configure it to gather information you consider
- important (such as which two hosts are exchanging packets, which host
- is receiving or sending packets, etc). It comes with some scripts to
- summarize the data it collects, but it's pretty easy to write scripts
- to play with the data in whatever way you want.
