  25. While something X based may be good for looking at your net at a particular
  26. moment, you may want something that can collect stats over a longer time.
  27. Take a look at NNstat; it runs on Suns, DECstations, and DEC VAXen
  28. running Ultrix.  You can configure it to gather information you consider
  29. important (such as which two hosts are exchanging packets, which host
  30. is receiving or sending packets, etc).  It comes with some scripts to
  31. summarize the data it collects, but it's pretty easy to write scripts
  32. to play with the data in whatever way you want.
