  15.   I have been watching this newsgroup for the past few days with different
  16. postings trying to explain the non-availability of SPARC based fault tolerant platforms. But, my question is whether is there any whole lot of difference between SPARC (isn't it Scalable Processor ARChitecture) and RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) other than a different acronym. And lately I have 
  17. been hearing it (SPARC) is heading for dead end :-(. Can some kind(!) soul look 
  18. into this topic, if it is of any interest.
