  13. Scott is right. Congress passed a law severly restricting the use of
  14. automatic dialers/and recorded announcement players.

  16. Not only are these machines really annonying, they can be dangerous. In
  17. one case, a telemarketter took down a hospitals entire phone system by by
  18. dialing every extension, in order and playing a recorded message.

  20. Maybe if the people you plan to call could sign a release of some sort.
  21.  
  22. But your biggest problems will probably be legal, not technical.
