- - All the more reason for NeXT to port NeXTstep to the sparcs.
- - It's really not the machine I care about. It's the OS and windowing
- - system, of course. You can always paint the sparc black. =-)

- - Hmm, I have Sun Sparcstation IPX here at university and NeXTstations

- - I value the Operating System (or should I say the Operating Environ-

- I agree with both of your statements here, but one thing that these computers
- are going to do is make VERY big inroads in the academic markets, among other
- places.
- These are low cost, fast, SUNs. Just hook em up and configure em in the
- network like any other SUNs you have. I know NeXT's integrate well but there
- are still problems to work out. If you buy more SUNs for your existing SUN
- network you shouldn't ( notice i say shouldn't ) have any of those problems. I
- know at UCSD there are profs who just won't consider the NeXT for whatever
- stupid reason. They go with 486's because SUNs have been too expensive, until
- now.
- Time will tell here. Lets hope NeXT dosen't stay too quiet too long.
