- I'm using MacLinkPlus/PC from DataViz to connect my NeXTstation and
- Powerbook 170 via their supplied cable. The nice thing about this product
- is the translators so I can get (for example) from FrameMaker on my NeXT
- and Mac to WordPerfect for those unenlightened souls who use MS-DOS. I
- have had some problems receiving large data files from the NeXT via the
- cable which DataViz was unable to resolve (although, the Mac->NeXT
- transfer has always worked); supposedly the Powerbooks have a glitch in
- their serial ports which I suspect may be the problem. Hmm,... to get
- around the transfer problem I just used a DOS-formatted disk as the
- transfer medium but I suppose I should try hooking the Powerbook to the
- NeXT via the printer port and see if the problem goes away....
-
- For what it's worth,
-
- Mark.
